Send a request by hand

Send a request with your own header to a lab endpoint, then follow the redirect it returns.

Planned

Steps

  1. Start the lab to receive a one-time value.

What the server will check: The lab records the value for your attempt.

  2. Send the value in a custom header to the lab echo endpoint with curl or your browser's developer tools.

What the server will check: A request arrived with the expected method and header value.

Headers carry information about a request, such as cookies and credentials, alongside the address.

  3. Follow the redirect in the response.

What the server will check: A request with the same value arrived at the redirect target.

Sign-in flows move a browser between applications with redirects like this one.

When it opens

This lab is planned. It opens when these are in place:

  • A lab echo endpoint

A lab endpoint records what it receives for your attempt and grades it on the server.
